Vazquez, Marquez: Whose the champ?

Could this be the third and final chapter in the World Boxing Council's championship bout between Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez?
This weekend, the pair will touch gloves then once again battle it out for the WBC super bantamweight title. On the line are bragging rights, millions of dollars in prize money, as well as which fighter will deliver the belt back to Mexico City. And that will be a huge fiesta, because both fighters were born in Mexico City.
The thought of delivering the coveted belt, and to be crowned champion or "campeon" is a feeling these contenders must be tasting in the few days that lead up to the bout.
Because of the split in their first two meetings, Marquez (37-4, 33 KOs)and Vazquez (42-4, 32 KOs) make this bout so much more popular.
Vazquez scored on a sixth-round knock down last August, but Marquez won by TKO in the first bout in March of '07.
Through the media interviews, both fighters seem to show respect for each other. However it shouldn't be ignored that they both desire the championship title.
Showtime will broadcast the fight from The Home Depot Center in Carson, California on March 1. If you're lucky enough, and have the cash, you might be able to get one of the remaining seats. $300/floor; $150/double letter rows; $75/rows A through G; $50/rows H through T; $25/rows U and above. Ticketmaster is handling ticket sales. (213) 480-3232 or (714) 740-2000.
