It hasn't even been more than a month when I interviewed Karen Martínez over the phone. Karen, who is or was or will soon, be Colombian singer Juanes’ ex wife, said amazing things about the singer. She even referred to him as “my loving husband.”
Surprise!
Just recently, Juanes announced he is getting a divorce from his wife Karen.
The surprising factor is that they seemed like a very stable couple; they have being married three years and have two children. But I guess, when it comes to celebrity couples, we only get to see what they want us to see.
Could it be that maybe Juanes could not handle the fact that Karen wanted to get her career going once again? When she met the singer, she was a prominent model in her native Colombia, but she gave it all up to start a family with him. Then Juanes’ career took off and Karen was left behind.
She now lives in Miami were she is a TV host for Telemundo’s ‘Todo Bebé’ show and Juanes is recording his new album.

No ha pasado ni siquiera un mes cuando entrevisté a Karen Martínez por teléfono. Karen, quien es o fue o muy pronto será la ex esposa del cantante colombiano Juanes, dijo cosas maravillosas del cantante. Es más, hasta se refirió a él como “su querido esposo.”
¡Pero qué sorpresa!
Recientemente Juanes anunció que se está divorciando de su esposa Karen.
Lo sorprendente de todo esto es que ellos parecían como una pareja estable; luego de estar casados por tres años y tener dos hijos. Pero cuando se trata de parejas del espectáculo, sólo vemos lo que ellos quieren que veamos.
¿Sería que tal vez Juanes no pudo con el hecho que Karen quería reestablecer su carrera? Cuando ella conoció al cantante, Karen era una reconocida modelo en su natal Colombia, pero ella lo dejó todo para comenzar una familia con él. Luego la carrera de Juanes despegó y Karen se quedó atrás.
Ella ahora vive en Miami donde es una conductora del programa ‘Todo Bebé’ de Telemundo y Juanes está grabando su nuevo disco.
