In a special Valentine’s Day performance, the award-winning tenor Juan Diego Florez performed before a soldout audience at Valdez Hall at the Fresno Convention Center.
Florez, a Peruvian, made the stop in Fresno toward two stops in Colombia this weekend. A third performance will take place at the Washington National Opera in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 27.
Among the accolades, Florez, 38, was named Honorary Professor of the University of San Martin de Porres in Peru (2004).
