El Tri fans paint Rose Bowl green in exhibition against New Zealand

New Zealand's Chris Killen tries to stay ahead of Mexico's Ricardo Osorio at the Rose Bowl.
PASADENA – Hundreds of disappointed fans lined up outside the gates of the Rose Bowl. ”We have no more tickets!” said box office employees.
Unlike the start in San Francisco, Mexico ended the first half without a goal against New Zealand.
El Tri struck the crossbar in at least two shots on goal. The brothers Dos Santos graced the field together, but hardly spoke at all. Before the Mexicans entered the tunnel to their locker room, captain “Temo” Blanco made sure to get a few words with them at halftime.
“El Vasco” Javier Aguirre called up at least 9 Mexicans who play Euro ball including Giovani Dos Santos of Galatasaray for New Zealand. Against Bolivia, Mexico had already scored four goals within 20 minutes of the first half at Candlestick Park finishing with a 5-0 victory.
Euro players: Some of the Mexicans playing Euro-ball are Jonathan Dos Santos and Rafa Marquez, both of FC Barcelona.
