Fresno Gem: Chesterfield’s Antiquesavatar

without comments

My weekend was filled with uniquely Fresno experiences.

My mother and I had dinner at Peruvian fusion restaurant Limón on Friday night, and we feasted on fabulous fish tacos at El Pescador on Saturday afternoon. I attended my first Fresno Monsters hockey game on Saturday night, and loved seeing so many people turn out to support the team and Pink at the Rink night.

But my Fresno Gem of the weekend (it’s an accolade I just created) is Chesterfield’s Antiques, located at 5092 N. Blackstone, just north of Shaw. If you’re looking to buy beautiful/quirky antique furniture at a great price, this is the place to shop!

My mom and I walked into the store on Saturday morning, just as it was opening around 11 a.m. We were as excited as two little girls in a candy store, as we walked around and pointed to lamps, couches, bookshelves, mirrors, and framed artwork that we loved. With the assistance of the kind, helpful, and talented store employees, I ended up buying a couple things to furnish my new apartment, all of which are long-lasting, high-quality pieces that I will be thrilled to have in this home and others in the future.

Have you been to Chesterfield’s yet? If you haven’t, I highly recommend you check this place out – though you may walk out with a “hairy” lampshade or stackable coffee tables that you didn’t even know you needed or desired!!
