La Gran Posada California de 2009 was nothing-less than spectacular.
Aside from the pair of idiots that were escorted out after a brawl, the show, featured Los Bondadosos, the ages-old rock group from Guanajuato, México who rocked the thousands of spectators in the Dairy Center of the Tulare Agri-Center on Sunday.
“Up to this year, we’ve given away about 20,000 toys to kids,” said host Esaú Torrez of Los Malandrines from Tulare.
How it started: Los Malandrines wanted to do something for their community. So in 2005, they started collecting toys for the children in their neighborhood. It was first held as a block party. They approached businesses and others for donations, anyone willing to help.

This year, Esau and his family, in conjunction with Toys for Tots, are literally the talk of Tulare. They organize the collection of hundreds of toys for children in the community.
And for the adults? A rich Mexican posada that this year featured Beto Terrazas, Motrero Musical and Los Tenampa del Norte, among others.
