T-shirts feature Latina flair
I’m totally loving KC Los Angeles’ T-shirts “with a Latina flair.”
I first checked out the company’s Website (KCTees.com) after Sonia Sotomayor was confirmed as the first Latino justice, and just the third female justice, to sit on the Supreme Court.
At that time, KC Tees was promoting its “Wise Latina” T-shirt, a kiwi-green-colored cotton shirt with a gold and red shimmery image of a woman. The “wise Latina” comment gave Sotomayor a bit of trouble during the confirmation process, so I love how the T-shirts take ownership of the phrase.
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, KC Tees has created a black T-shirt that reads “AMOR: love & hope” in pink letters. According to various articles, like this one from CNN, Latina women are more likely to wait longer to receive health care for medical concerns – so a cute shirt like this provides a little support and education.![]()
And as if you needed a reason to splurge on a new shirt, KC Tees is donating 25 percent of every “AMOR” shirt sold to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
