RAISIN CITY - Blake McCowan pumped his fist on nearly every pitch he threw in the final inning against a very tough and determined Guam team in a 7-6 victory to reach the semis of the Cal Ripkin 12-year-old Pacific Southwest Regionals.

Mitchell Boswell opened the tournament with a victory against Arizona’s Somerton when he finished with 14 strikeouts, 2 hits, 4 groundouts & 2 walks.

“Every team is tough,” Boswell said after the Guam victory.

“You have to hit your spots,” said McCowan.
