You remember the 2007 Sueño MLS winner Jorge Flores from Anaheim, California? Flores’s game on the pitch was enough to beat out thousands of young and talented individuals to become a recognized name in the future of the sport.

Flores – a forward, but who will play as a defender – has been chosen to join the U-20 National Team Camp in Sarasota, Florida, where the squad will train for the upcoming 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt.

Thomas Rongen is the coach of the team. He’ll direct the squad through various drills and matches during the camp from May 23 -28. Included are two international scrimmage matches against Costa Rican U-20 squad on May 25 and the 27th..

The Chivas USA U-18 and U-16 squads will join the camp as it runs in conjunction with the Development Academy Showcase.

Going into the U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Egypt from Sept. 24 through Oct. 16, the United States is in Group C with Germany, Cameroon and the Republic of Korea.
