Alfredo Sanchez, Fresno Fashionista
A story about Alfredo Sanchez is in this week’s edition of Vida en el Valle. In December he organized a fashion show to celebrate his 30th birthday, presenting his designs under his Huache label. Not only was it a unique way to celebrate a birthday, but he also brought something to Fresno that we dont see everyday.
Mitzy, one of the best-known designers in Latin America, was present at the event, as well as some members of the media.
I really wanted to write that story because Alfredo or Fashion, as many of his friends call him is a friend of mine and I also wear Huache. For my last two birthdays I have had the pleasure of using dresses hes made for me and I LOVE them. I love the fact that he can create the image I have in my mind; that is not an easy task!
Alfredo is very detail oriented with his creations and it is something that makes a huge difference. He has so many ideas and is so innovative, even with his personal look. He takes risks and isnt afraid of designing something different, unique. He has designed accessories and clothing for Kabah, Beto Cuevas, and Belanova.
He plans to do another fashion show in March where he may also include designs for men.
