Oscar De La Hoya is over the hill!!!!!
Oscar De La Hoya is over the hill, no doubt about it. But, before you start to hurl insults at me, Im speaking the truth. So are Mexican soccer star Cuauhtémoc Blanco, screen sirens Salma Hayek, Eva Mendes and Paz Vega, along with entertainers Mario López, Ricky Martin and Fher. Heck, even Shakira and Paulina Rubio are over the hill.
Put me on that over-the-hill list.
De La Hoya lost his last boxing bout to Manny Pacman Pacquiao. The Golden Boy took a pounding
but I dont think he is over-the-hill as a boxer. What Im talking about is his age in comparison to the median age of Latinos.
At 35 years of age, Oscar is way over the median age of Latino males of 26.3 years.
Add to that list: Cuauhtémoc Blanco (also 35), Ricky Martin (37 on Dec. 24), Fher, the lead singer of Maná is way over the hill (49).
The median age for Latinas is 25.5 years.
That makes Salma Hayek (42), Paulina Rubio (37), Eva Mendes (34), Paz Vega (32) and Shakira (31) over the hill as well.
As for me, at 53 years of age, Im double over the hill.
